Sometimes You Just Have to Put It Out There
Last Sunday was a first for me in more ways than one.
I completed my first outdoor balloon installation, created custom event signage, and officially premiered Picture This, our interactive photo and video booth.
And naturally, things did not go exactly according to plan.
When I arrived, the location for my balloon arch had changed. Two balloons popped. Instead of the two hours I expected to have for setup, I found myself needing to pivot, make a new plan, and get everything up and going in about 50 minutes.
Somehow, I did it.
By the time guests began arriving, we had a beautiful tri-colored balloon arch, an organic balloon garland, custom signage, and Picture This ready to go. Each balloon installation used its own color combination while still tying into the overall look of the event.
But the welcome sign might have stolen the show.
Watching people stop and take pictures of it as soon as they arrived was such a fun moment for me. There is something incredibly rewarding about creating something in your head, bringing it to life, and then watching someone else enjoy it.
The entire gathering reminded me why I enjoy doing this.
It was filled with kindhearted sellers, supportive shoppers, conversations, creativity, and people simply showing up for one another.

It also gave me a little push.
I want to keep putting my creations out there and see what takes.
That may mean trying a few upcoming Christmas markets, creating some fun stuffed Bobo balloons, experimenting with new designs, and seeing where the season takes Elevated Celebrations.
Because sometimes the best way to figure out what comes next is simply to create something, put it out into the world, and see who stops to look.
