Small Bouquets, Big Love: A Mother’s Day Community Project
I can’t give flowers to my mom this Mother’s Day, but I can help others in my community give flowers to theirs. That thought is what sparked this little project.
This year, before Mother’s Day, I’m planning something small with my daughter and a few of her friends. We are gathering tiny glass vases, picking out fresh flowers, and creating mini bouquets to share with people in our community.
Nothing huge. Nothing formal. Just a few little arrangements made with love and set out at the park for someone to take, gift, or pass along to a mom, grandma, auntie, neighbor, friend, or someone who deserves flowers.
And honestly, that feels like celebration too.
At Elevated Celebrations, we spend a lot of time thinking about the big moments. Birthdays, milestones, backyard parties, school events, and family gatherings. But the more I build this business, the more I realize celebration does not always have to be loud or oversized.
Sometimes celebration looks like a tiny vase of flowers.
Sometimes it looks like a child carefully choosing which stem goes where.
Sometimes it looks like a stranger picking up a bouquet and thinking, “I know exactly who needs this.”
That is the kind of joy I want Elevated Celebrations to be rooted in.
This little Mother’s Day project is also a chance for the girls to experience something meaningful. They will get to create, arrange, display, and share something with the community. They will get to see that kindness can be simple, beautiful, and close to home.
I love the idea of them learning that you do not need a huge event or a perfect plan to make someone’s day brighter. Sometimes you just need a table, a few flowers, and the willingness to do something kind.
We are keeping it small on purpose. Just a handful of bouquets. Just a little park setup. Just a sweet way to honor Mother’s Day and share a little love.
Because flowers have a way of saying what words sometimes cannot.
And this year, if I can help even one person give flowers to someone they love, that feels worth doing.
With love,
Elevated Celebrations
